Common

He's one of my favorite emcees and I love how he's evolved. He's a really great guy and a live performer. I have had the honor of seeing him twice in concert and he was great. He brings so much energy to the stage. My favorite Common song is probably Come Close. It's such a sweet song and the video made me love it even more. I love the new music I've heard by him too and I can't wait to see him in concert again.

Fidelity

I love this song, I can relate to the lyrics, and I enjoyed this live performance. The song is like 6 years old but I still love it.

Clipse-Lord Willin'

This right here is one of my favorite albums of all time. I listened to it all day everyday when it first came out and it wasn't cause of Gridin'....that is my cut though. I fell in love with the music of the Clipse when I heard When The Last Time for the first time lol. I immediately went out and bought the album and it's one of those that you can play all the way through and not skip one song. Young Boy, Ganagsta Lean, and of course When The Last Time are my favorite songs off the album. I think Pusha T and Malice are both dope emcees too.

Sara Bareilles

She's a talented singer/songwriter/musician...I like all the songs I've heard from her. The more popular are probably King Of Anything and of course Love Song. I love her live and would see her over and over again.

The Way I Am

I'm not talking about Eminem's song....I'm talking about Ingrid Michaelson. I first heard this song on a commercial and I had to know who sang it. The song is so sweet and her voice is so soft but firm and I like it. Even with the person I have memories of this song with, I could never hate this song. I still love singing along to this day....

Whoa! Nelly

Remember when Nelly Furtado first came out???? I loved her first album Whoa! Nelly. Me, my brother, and Londa probably played that cd everyday for like the year it came out. I love every song from Hey Man to Scared Of You. I think my favorite is Turn Off The Light....I think I'm gonna go buy me a copy of this album for the car. This is one of those road trip albums....

Yeah Yeah Yeahs

I can't say that I'm a huge fan of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but they have a couple songs that I really like. I've seen them perform on some late night shows and they did a really good job. I love Go by Santigold featuring Karen O. Karen O is the lead singer of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I love her voice....the songs I really like by them are Gold Lion, Heads Will Roll, and my favorite Maps. I probably would go see them live once I get into some more of their songs.

Teenage Dream

I love this song and that's all there is to it....

Kaliq

Bryce Breezee @BryceBreezee put me on to this emcee. He's dope as hell....his delivery is swagalicious..ha ha ha ha, but for really though...the first song of his I heard was Young, Gifted, and Black. I like it and I'm getting more into his music as time goes on. So far, so good....his music is consistent, consistently good. Follow him @kaliq7....

2 AM Club-Worry About You

They're a pretty cool band and they got some good music...this is the first song I heard by them and I'm still rocking to it everyday. I love the lyrics and the groove...ya'll know I'm a sucka for a groove.....lol

Romeo Santos/Usher-Promise

My baby mama and Sandon know this is the song.....love it!!!! And so what I don't know what Romeo's saying, I can feel it. lol

M.I.A

What is there to say about her???? She's one of the dopest artists of all time....she came out with one of the dopest songs ever in life and I could only be talking about Paper Planes. I had been listening to her since 2005 and Paper Planes come out and everybody wanna listen to M.I.A but n*ggas ain't real though because every song she's come out with is hot. Paper Planes will always be my favorite song but I am a really huge fan of hers and I can't wait to see her in concert.

La Roux-Bulletproof

I was actually put on to La Roux at work...In For The Kill played on the jukebox every now and then. I saw this video on VH1 and fell in love with the song. I just like the lyrics.

The SwitchBlades

At work, I met a girl named Seneca and it took a while for us to get cool but when we did...we became instant best friends. She's kinda like me and I love her for that....I soon found out she was in a group well a duo called The SwitchBlades. The other member of the group Liah have amazing chemistry. I listened to their music and I enjoyed it very much but it wasn't until I saw them live that I fell in love...no homo. They put on a really good show and actually have a pretty decent following in Detroit. I love their lyrics. Once I saw how passionate they were for their art and learned their history, I wanted to get their music to the masses. You can catch them performing as much as they can in Detroit and soon bringing their talents to Milwaukee. I think they have all the ingredients needed to be successful in this business even if they do it independently. You can follow them on twitter @TheSwitchBlades and check out some of their music at http://soundcloud.com/switchblades. There will be live performances and other videos of The SwitchBlades coming soon.....

Ricky Phontaine

I gotta show love to the home team #LuckyThirdEntertainment. Ricky Phontaine is one of the first artist out from Lucky Third and he's done pretty good for himself to not be signed. He had built some buzz over seas for himself if I'm not mistaken. Now he's got his latest mixtape out Pretty Good Music and you can download it at http://www.mediafire.com/?yv2zvdzsgcjb3ja and the video for the single I'm Great is....big ups to 8789 Studios for their work on the project. You can get a little more insight into who Phontaine is by checking out this article http://www.expressmilwaukee.com/article10483-pretty-ricky-phontaine.html.....He's an original artist who wants to stay true to himself and I think so far he's done a good job and I wish him much success and I look forward to working with him. Make sure you check out http://www.luckythird.com while you're at it.

Wiz Khalifa

I didn't know who a Wiz Khalifa was until my Kinfolk took me to the concert cause she had an extra ticket. To be honest with you I didn't really pay him any attention. I was walking around talking to people I knew, we were having a really good time. One day I'm in the car with Kin and I think we were maybe driving to Chicago and she played the Kush and OJ mixtape and it was over from there. I heard Up and I fell in love with that song cause it's so true....Everything is better when you're high!!!! Anyways, I like his album but I'm just afraid he's gonna lose himself going mainstream. I hope not but I'll always support unless he does the ultimate No-No in my book.....

Feist- My Moon My Man

Frank Sinatra That's Life

I shouldn't have to put ya'll on to Frank, he's a legend and this song is the truth...I dedicate it to my brother....

Dog Days Are Over

I love this song and I'm getting more into their music......

Kings Of Leon

One of the saddest days of my life was when I heard the news about KOL disbanding. It hurt my heart so bad because they are a great band that makes awesome music....Sex On Fire is probably one of the greatest songs ever made. Their first album had so many great tracks and the follow up didn't disappoint. I hope that they get it together and get back together cause I still need to see them in concert. And one of the funniest memories I have with Amanda and Tree was when we were in the car and I was so high I fell asleep but this song came on and I woke up singing it....lol #goodtimes

Coldplay

There is no band that I love more than Coldplay. The first time I heard Yellow, I fell in love with Chris Martin's voice. It's so calming and I think he's such an amazing songwriter. There's not one Coldplay song I don't like, even the one with Rihanna. My favorite songs are Fix You and Lost. Their music is like therapy for me. It's so relatable and real life. I don't ever want them to break up and I know they'll continue to make the best music. I love them so much.

I Stand Alone by Theophilus London

Today as I realize that this new journey is beginning....I do stand alone as far as being with someone goes, but I got a team behind that has my back like never before but I love this song and for those who haven't heard it or heard of Theophilus, check em out.

Speak Easy

He is one of my favorite Milwaukee artist and was recently named one of Milaukee's best by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. I like his delivery and the fact that he's real. I got into his music like 5 years ago when I saw him perform at Quarters and come to find out he's related to one of my best friends. I can't wait to work with him and I can't wait for everybody to know his name. You can find Speak Easy on Facebook so you can like him and stay up on what he has going on. You can find his music at http://www.speakeasy7.bandcamp.com. I hope you all enjoy as much as I do.

Ja'Rahn Leveston

This is a emcee in the Milwaukee music scene that I had no idea about am glad I've come across his music. My friend Brandon sent me the link to listen to his mixtape The Logic and I love it. Turns out we got a lot of mutual friends. I look forward to more music from Ja'Rahn Leveston, but for now here's the link to his mixtape....http://www.mediafire.com/?suc8l3nub264u2o. Like him on Facebook and subscribe to his youtube page.

The Cool Kids

These guys are dope...I love their music and I'm so upset I didn't know they had a new album out. Their latest piece of work is When Fish Ride Bicycles and I have not heard it yet but I will soon. Black Mags was my introduction to them and The Bake Sale was my shit. That's the EP that features the said song above and other songs like Mikey Rocks and A Little Bit Cooler....

Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out

I love this song.....

Santigold

I'm pretty sure there is not a song that I've heard by her that I did not like....L.E.S Artistes is the first song I heard and those lyrics blew my mind. This like the theme song to my life. Starstruck, Creator, and Lights Out along with L.E.S Artistes are my favorite songs by her. Her music gets me so hype and her production is something serious. I just think she's amazing.

Pharrell- In My Mind

This has to be one of my most favorite albums ever....I dont' think enough people have this album in their collection and I think they should. Of course I love Pharrell so much cause of N.E.R.D but this album exceeded all expectations I had for it. I love every song from Can I Have It Like That to Show You How To Hustle. Of course my favorite song is the freakiest one on the cd...Take It Off(Dim The Lights). I love that song so much, I don't know what happened to my copy of the album but I'm sure I'm gonna buy one soon.

Asher Roth

He seems like such a cool, laid back dude and I enjoy his music. I listen to him a lot when I smoke. Of course I Love College was his first single, but my favorite song is G.R.I.N.D (Get Ready It's A New Day).....he's a good emcee to me and I always look forward to new Asher Roth music.

Little Lion Man

Mumford and Sons is a great band but this will probably always be my favorite song by them.

Adele

You know an Adele song when you hear it...her voice is so amazing and I'm so glad that we don't have to go without it. I'm a huge fan and I have been ever since the first moment I heard Chasing Pavements and 2012 can't get here soon enough so we can have her next album. If you haven't heard of Adele then you've been living under a rock....

Rye Rye

Sandon put me on to her too......she's similar to M.I.A or Santigold, but still different at the same time. I like the song she has with Robyn Never Will Be Mine and Shake It Down To The Ground.....
