Emeli Sande'

I just discovered her on youtube and I'm glad I clicked on her video....this girl can sing and upon further research she's a great songwriter too. She's written for many artists, more over sees but boy am I glad she's writing for herself now. I have to listen to some more of her music but I really like the song "My Kind Of Love." It's a really pretty song.

Somebody That I Used To Know

I heard this song on the radio one day and I love music that sounds different than what's being played. I had no idea what he was saying except..."now you're just somebody that I used to know." I love the song even more now that I know all of the lyrics....if you've ever been in love then you can relate to this song especially if you've had your heart broken. I would call this therapy for me. I will defenitely be getting more into both Gotye and Kimbra's music.

Black Girl

My homie Nova $tylez dropped the fourth of eleven videos off his #DopeAzzMixtape which will be dropping this summer, Black Girl. He went and got my homegirl Natasha Nafrini to feature in the joint. I dug the song from the first time I heard it. I'm a big fan and not just cause he's the homie but because he's a dope artist. The song is positive too, I love that he pays homage to black girls and not b-----s. Big ups homie.

A Time To Love

A few years back Stevie Wonder put out this amazing album and I find myself listening to it more than ever today. Stevie Wonder is a legend and he did not fail us with this album. All the songs are incredible. My favorite is probably If Your Love Cannot Be Moved with Kim Burrell. Just listen to the song and you'll know why. If you've never heard this album, I suggest you check it out. Other songs like Sweetest Somebody I Know and Moon Blue contribute to its greatness.
